Non-Stop Layover

Those living abroad might have noticed quite a few more foreigners while out and about. You aren't seeing things - people are once again taking to the skies and beginning to flow into cities and to beaches once again. Sure, people have been traveling again for months, but things are different now. Instead of a few random tourists you now see a stream of them walk by. 

The return of tourism means the return of the supporting industry. This means the times of fewer choices, reduced amenities, and restricted socialization are coming to an end. More locals will be around to sell food, run tours, and offer services. Things aren't back to 100% yet, but if you do decide that now is the time for you to get back out there, you shouldn't be disappointed.

For those still at home and wanting to travel again, we have a very short list of tips:

Follow local rules and customs - Don't travel to another country still requiring masks and walk around without one just because your country doesn't require them or because you simply don't want to. If something bothers you that much then maybe choose somewhere else to go. Take an hour to do some research before you book. Check the country's embassy/visa websites and only rely on first-party sources. When it comes to travel restrictions and policies it is best to get it form official entities.

Travel with Insurance - This is one piece of advice to follow literally all the time, but in a period where health concerns are front of mind, it makes more sense to be sure you have good coverage. Some countries may even require it.

Don't Assume Everything is Open - Do you homework and make sure you know what you will be able to do and see when you travel. Nothing is worse than traveling across the world only to find out the thing you cared about most is still shuttered.
